A Marion County woman is behind bars after authorities say she allowed her dog to attack an officer.

Sheriff Bo Burnett says the incident happened Sunday evening in the town of Sequatchie, at a home on 210 Pine Street.

Burnett says deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call.

He says when Patrol Officer Justin Graham knocked on the door, Tiffany Foshee opened it, then apparently purposefully stepped out of the way as her pit bull attacked Graham.

Graham suffered several deep bite marks on his hand and was rushed to the hospital. But he didn't require stitches and Burnett says he'll fully recover.

Deputies impounded the dog, and Burnett says it will be tested for rabies.

Authorities charged Foshee with interfering with a police investigation. She now has no bond and remains at the Marion County Jail.
