Chattanooga Police fires officer for variety of reasons

Charles Brock's last day on the force was July 5th. He had been a CPD officer since 2008.

The Chattanooga Police Department has fired an officer for a variety of reasons, but not because of the reason he was suspended late last year.

Chattanooga Police put Charles Brock on leave on December 27th after a domestic assault complaint.

Police say there was a warrant issued for Brock's arrest by the Signal Mountain Police Department from an incident that occurred on Christmas Day.

But police now say a CPD Internal Affairs investigation did not sustain a domestic assault complaint, and those charges were dropped.

However, that same investigation revealed other complaints, including Failure to Secure Firearms, Violation of Condition of Release, and Prostitution.

Brock's last day on the force was July 5th. He had been a CPD officer since 2008.
