Chattanooga man charged with domestic assault after SWAT standoff
An 84-year-old Chattanooga man is charged with Aggravated Domestic Assault after a SWAT standoff Thursday afternoon.
Chattanooga Police responded to a disorder call at 4300 Arbor Lane Thursday just after 1:30 pm.
Chattanooga Police say when officers arrived, they heard shots fired from inside the residence.
Police say Buster Verdin Garrison refused to leave the home, so officers with the Hostage Negotiation Team and SWAT were called.
SWAT Officers used a camera to assess the situation and see inside the residence.
CPD says Garrison eventually disarmed himself voluntarily, and officers were able to safely enter the home.
Garrison was taken to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound.
Police say they are not identifying the victim due to the nature of the incident.
