UPDATE: Johnny Houston, attorney for Karl Williams, tells NewsChannel9 "All I can say is that Karl [ Williams] is happy that he has finally been exonerated. He is a humble, decent and kind person. We are appreciative that General Pinkston took a closer look at the case and after additional investigation, decided to drop the charges. Karl is relieved to have this behind him and return to his normal life which includes coaching basketball."

\NewsChannel 9 has confirmed that 3 adults charged in connection to the rape of an Ooltewah High School student at a cabin in Gatlinburg back in December each turned themselves in to be booked on Thursday afternoon.

Ooltewah Head Basketball Coach Andre Montgomery, assistant coach Karl Williams and Athletic Director Jesse Nayadley are all charged with not reporting the incident to the proper authorities.

As we reported on Wednesday, a mixup at the Hamilton County Jail prevented them from turning themselves in to be booked. That matter is now apparently resolved.

The case for the three men was bound over to a grand jury after a preliminary hearing in Hamilton County Juvenile Court last month.

Johnny Houston, attorney for Karl Williams, the former volunteer assistant basketball coach, says Mr. Williams went to the jail, Tuesday, with the intention of turning himself in, based on the criminal summons.

Houston says he was given a copy of the summons, and that was all. The attorney states that after leaving, he got a call that he needed to come back to be booked and processed.

Curtis Bowe, Andre Montgomery's attorney, who was present when he turned himself in, told NewsChannel 9 he wouldn't speak about the case until after it was over.

Hamilton County Sheriff's Department Spokesman Matt Lea tells NewsChannel 9, ""The HCSO confirms at this time all three individuals are presently at the Hamilton County Jail and are awaiting to be booked as per the judges' order. After being booked, they will be released on their own recognizance as per the judge's order."

Three Ooltewah High School students are charged with holding a student down and raping him with a pool cue. Part of that pool cue ruptured the student's bladder and he was in the hospital for several weeks.
