SunTrust Foundation Awards $25,000 to The Next Door Chattanooga
The SunTrust Foundation recently awarded $25,000 to The Next Door Chattanooga to support the programming offered to residents at their Correctional Release Center.
“The SunTrust Foundation is proud to support the important work of The Next Door. We are pleased to make a significant donation to an organization that is aggressively working to make a better life for women and their families that are impacted by addiction, mental illness, trauma and/or incarceration. By serving these women and their families, The Next Door is improving the lives of everyone in our communities,” said Rob McNeilly, President and CEO, Middle & Eastern Tennessee, SunTrust Bank.
The Next Door seeks to prepare the women it serves for living independently, becoming productive members of their communities and successfully reuniting with their families. The Chattanooga facility, located off of Moccasin Bend Road, currently houses 32 women with hopes to expand to their maximum capacity of 42 residents within the next month.
“We are truly grateful for the generosity of the SunTrust Foundation. Their donation shows that they see value in the programming offered at our facility,” says Dionne Jennings, Development Coordinator for The Next Door Chattanooga. “With the financial support from organizations like the SunTrust Foundation we will be able to continue our mission to live out our faith by providing a continuum of evidence-based services for women and their families impacted by addiction, mental illness, trauma and/or incarceration.”
