"DOWNTON ABBEY" - ALLEN LEECH
BEVERLY HILLS, Calif. (AP) -- Allen Leech wants fans to be excited about "Downton Abbey" without pestering him for details that ruin everything. Leech, who plays Tom Branson, says it's like pulling a loose thread: "People just want to know more and more and more and more." He believes it would be so much easier if "Downton Abbey" ran at the same time in both the U.K. and the U.S. He says that way he wouldn't have to worry about spoilers. "Downton Abbey" premieres on PBS in January. The premiere date in the U.K. has not been announced.
Allen Leech says it would be so much easier if British fans didn't blow the plot of "Downton Abbey" to fans in the United States.

ERIC STONESTREET-"MODERN FAMILY" HELPING TO CHANGE ATTITUDES
NEW YORK (AP) -- Eric Stonestreet says "Modern Family" is helping to change attitudes toward gays. He plays Cam on the ABC sitcom and married his partner Mitch in the season finale. Stonestreet says people come up to him to say the show has made it easier for them to come out to their families. He says parents tell him Mitch and Cam help them to understand their gay children. The two-time Emmy winner says when gay marriage became legal in California, it made sense to have his character tie the knot. When Modern Family returns in the fall, Stonestreet says Mitch and Cam will just be a regular married couple.
Eric Stonestreet says his gay relationship on "Modern Family" is something that even non-gays can understand.
