'Wine Over Water' helps preserve history
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. —
"Wine Over Water" is a decades-long tradition in Chattanooga -- this will be the 22nd year. Traditionally organizers focused on wine, but this year it is expanding to be a food and wine festival. Wine Over Water is on Saturday, October 1st 2016 on the Walnut Street bridge.
All proceeds from ticket sales benefit Cornerstones and the organization's historic preservation efforts in Chattanooga. Cornerstones is Chattanooga's only nonprofit historic preservation organization. Kyle Miller, a spokesperson for "Wine Over Water" joined GMC Weekend to explain more details about the event and what is new this year. Watch the video above for further details.
While there will likely still be tickets the day of the event, organizers recommending purchasing tickets in advance.
