Hamilton Co. Schools tout progress in Tennessee Value-Added Assessment scores

In a release sent out on Tuesday morning, Hamilton County Schools say the latest Tennessee Value-Added Assessment System (TVAAS) scores show improvement for county students.

According to the results, the county's schools are making strides in literacy and math.

That means more students are scoring on-track or mastering those subjects.

But despite the improvements, Hamilton County's composite score only increased from a 1 to a 2 out of Five.

The TVAAS measures the impact schools and teachers have on their students' academic progress.
