Bertie is a lovable lab mix looking for her forever family.

She came to McKamey Animal Center after someone found her suffering from being hit by a car.

Bertie had a broken pelvis but the doctors and staff at McKamey nursed her back to health.

She is completely recovered from her injury, spayed, and up to date on all of her vaccinations.

Bertie is happy and healthy and ready to go home with an energetic family ready to hike and play with her in addition to cuddling up on the couch.

Shelter staff think she is about a year and a half old.

In the short time she's been at McKamey, she's become a staff favorite because of her sweet and fun personality.

You can meet Bertie at McKamey Animal Center between 10AM and 4PM on Saturday.

McKamey is hosting its annual Doggie Egg Hunt on Saturday April 8th from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM.

Stop by with your four legged friend so he or she can spend the morning hunting for Easter Eggs filled with dog friendly treats and surprises.

Cost of admission is $5 or two cans of dog or cat food.
