Wednesday, Commander White led our state lawmakers in prayer.
"I was invited to go by Senator Gardenhire, and he also invited the whole family to come," White said.
"So my wife Franicia and our children all went and we really had a special day and got to meet a lot of really neat people and see our government at work ."
Commander White received a standing ovation from lawmakers.
While in Nashville, he and his family visited the Tennessee state senate and the State house of Representatives.
Commander White served as the minister of the day.
"I'm not sure what I as a relatively young man can offer them," Commander White said.
"But just being in their presence was very humbling and a great honor."
"It was really special as a family and it was really neat that they wanted the children to be a part of it," White's wife, Franicia said.
"To have them be an honorary page, our older children got to be a page for one senator."
