Medal of Honor Museum expected to hit 2017 fundraising goal soon
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. —
This summer The Charles H. Coolidge Medal of Honor Heritage Center announced fundraising goals for moving into a brand new location in downtown Chattanooga. The Museum is close to reaching it's goal for 2017 and will have a fundraiser this weekend at its current location.
Brad Quinlin has written a book about the Chattanooga National Cemetery, and he's donating all the money made from the book to the Medal of Honor Heritage Center.
He will have a book signing on Saturday, November 4, and Sunday, November 5 at the museum's current location at Northgate Mall in Hixson, Tennessee. The event each day will run from 1-5PM.
Retired Marine Corps Colonel Frank Hughes is helping with the fundraising for the new museum. He says they expect to reach the 1 million dollar fundraising goal for 2017 in the next two weeks.
Organizers have a goal to raise an additional two million dollars by 2018, with a total fundraising goal of six million dollars. The new Charles H. Coolidge Medal of Honor Heritage Center will be located next to the Aquarium in downtown Chattanooga.
