Army veteran Andrew Smith prepares for annual fundraising dinner

Army veteran Andrew Smith was injured in an IED blast in Afghanistan in 2012. He and his wife Tori have been working to help other wounded veterans ever since.

July 14 at 7PM they will hold their fourth annual American Heroes dinner. The event will take place at the Chattanooga Convention Center.

Lieutenant Colonel Oliver North will be the guest speaker.

"Basically what we do is help out injured service members and their families with whatever the need may be," says Andrew. "For a while it was people needing adaptions to their house or lawn equipment .so they can mow their lawn. Guys with no legs can't push a lawn mower. We've sent people to counseling if they've wanted it."
